Shannon Wright

Wright is an award winning illustrator and cartoonist based out of Richmond, Virginia. Some of her clients include The Guardian, TIME Magazine, NY Times, Mother Jones, NPR, Google and Scholastic. Her debut graphic novel, TWINS, has received a 5 starred review from Booklist, Kirkus, SLJ, Horn Book and Publisher Weekly. Her picture book HOLDING HER OWN: THE EXCEPTIONAL LIFE OF JACKIE ORMES was awarded the Coretta Scott King and Sibert award by the American Library Association.

Wright's work is focused on capturing humanity in its most mundane and explores the love, wonder, grief and the many more emotions we carry day to day. Represented by Writers House.
